Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Offering Telehealth Services: in New York, Virginia and Alaska.

Treatment Approach & Areas of Expertise

I specialize in providing care to adults who are struggling with a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, adjusting to various life transitions and stressors, improving communication skills and quality of relationships and trauma (including PTSD). Additionally, I have worked extensively with Veterans and individuals who have experienced trauma.

My therapeutic style is integrative and relational. Specifically, I utilize a holistic approach, integrating existential, humanistic, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based practices to help individuals process emotions and life experiences as well as attain their personal goals. I fundamentally believe that human beings are innately good and have the capacity for change, self-acceptance and emotional wellbeing. As Carl Rogers, PhD noted: “the curious paradox is that when [we] accept [ourselves] as [we are], then [we] can change.”

I also have experience working with specific evidence based psychotherapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE). I am certified in PE and in Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), specific therapies to help individuals overcome traumatic experiences and PTSD. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
